  4. Personalize Your Toolbox: Understand the process to determine when and how to use pain/symptom-reducing techniques. Learn techniques to calm the Nervous System. Learn Guided Imagery and Positive Visualisation tools.
  5. Address Other Fear/Danger Triggers: Identify other emotional and psychological factors contributing to a sense of danger, learn how they relate to your pain/symptoms, and tools that may help them to change. Learn other somatic techniques to calm the mind such as breath work and exercise.
  6. Recognize Your Behavioral Patterns: Identify common behaviors and coping strategies reinforcing pain, symptoms and anxiety. Become aware of emotions and learn tools to deal with emotions.
  7. Develop Self-Compassion: Learn to calm your nervous system with understanding and kindness. Learn about self-care and self-care boundaries.
  8. Manage Flare-ups and Relapse Prevention: Develop your toolkit for flare-ups, maintenance and relapse prevention. Learn about “I statements” and assertive communication. Learn about erecting boundaries. Learn about values and core beliefs and choosing a new direction for your life.

This 8-week educational Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) and Brain Retraining Workshop delves into how to overcome the challenges of chronic pain/illness and embrace recovery. This course includes the information in the 8 week Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) Healing Workshop offered by the Pain Reprocessing Therapy Center, but differs in that my course focuses mores on education, research evidence on how brain retraining improves health as well as pain and has more brain retraining tools. I also provide tips on how to apply PRT to other conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I delve into topics that I believe are critical to return to health such as self care, self compassion, somatic techniques, erecting self-care boundaries and tools to help deal with emotions. Each week comprises of 1 to 1.5 hour lecture recordings and Q & A.

To get the most out of this course, clients should make time in their schedule to watch the weekly recordings (1-1.5 hours), read handouts and listen to any audio recordings (30-60 minutes per week), and do daily brain retraining exercises (15-30 minutes).

I will be offering separate SMALL GROUP COACHING services starting in June for those who have taken or are taking the 8 Week workshop and for those clients who are currently being coached individually. Please CONTACT ME directly for times and availability. Packages of two to four 30 minute individual Q & A sessions for those taking the 8 week workshop are also available. Each private 30 minute Q & A session are billed at $47.50 CAD each.

The Introductory Lecture describes Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Brain Retraining and is a mandatory prerequisite for those wishing to take the 8 week Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Brain Retraining Workshop. This is to ensure that you have a good understanding on whether the 8 week workshop is right for your journey.

Please note this is not individual therapy or group therapy. This is an educational workshop only and Not A Medical Diagnosis, Advice, Treatment or Prevention. Although there will be space to process more challenging concepts and seek guidance, the purpose of this workshop is education and a place to promote further self-work and Pain Reprocessing Therapy integration.

Pricing for the introductory soft launch version of the 8 week course will be $350 CAD (Approx. $260 USD). Pricing of the finalized course will be $450 CAD (Approx. $335 USD).

Full refunds will be granted to all cancellations up to fourteen (14) days prior to the starting day of any services you purchase from us, less a $50 administrative processing fee. Cancellations within fourteen (14) days prior to the starting day of the services will receive a 50% refund, less $50 administrative processing fee.

No refunds will be provided if we determine, in our sole and absolute discretion, that you must be removed from participation in our services or have your access to the Site revoked or suspended for inappropriate or illegal conduct.
